School tobacco control interventions were executed in 49 schools and PU colleges in five taluks of Dakshina Kannada. Health awareness, ill effects of tobacco use and law enforcement were the key activities conducted by division of public health along with health promotional activities.

Provided consultancy services for evaluating cEVM in coastal districts of Karnataka as a part scaling up of state's immunization program.

The division of Public Health has been identified by WHO, Mangalore division as external monitoring agency for supervising and monitoring of special events like National Immunization days/ sub national immunization days, mission Indradhanush and measles, rubella campaigns.
1. Patterns of retail sale of tobacco products in Bangalore metropolitan city - 2017
A qualitative study was conducted at 64 different types of retail point of sale for tobacco products. The objective of the study was to asses the seller-consumer dynamics related to sale and purchase of various types of tobacco products.
1. Nitte New Born Cohort - 2016
The pregnancies registered in 2016 and 2017 in Nitte gram panchayath jurisdiction are been followed till the deliveries further to which the subsequent new born cohort will be developed and used for nested studies. These prospective studies would include epidemiological, behavioral, environmental, genetic, biochemical studies and so on.
2. Nitte Snow Mapping-2016
To support the local public health authorities and administration in locating the source of infection of water borne diseases, the division of Public Health developed a IT enabled snow (John Snow) mapping of water network in rural Nitte.
3. GIS mapping , socio-behavioural and entomological study relating to the incidences of
vector borne diseases- 2017
To locate the distribution of various vector borne diseases using ovitraps in the study area through GIS and GPS techniques. Behavioural risk factors responsible for the vector borne disease in the study area will also be studied.
1. Behavioral Risk of Sexually Transmitted Infections among Migrant Siddi Population-
Siddi's, blacks migrated from horn of Africa to India since 6th century are getting to urban India in search of employment since 2 decades. The division of Public Health is executing a study on behavioral risk assessment for Sexually Transmitted Diseases among these population considering their migration between rural and urban locations.
